I am writing to inform you that Mr. Kenneth Basnight was very helpful during my client’s time of need. My client is deaf and cannot speak. In order to communicate with him we have to put everything in writing. I was referred to Mr. Basnight by a Social Worker because I had a client in need of food. I informed Mr. Basnight of the situation, and he stated that he would deliver the food and would call the client but I informed him that the client would not be able to hear the telephone ring. Therefore, I asked Mr. Basnight if he could bring the food the Workforce Development Center and he said no problem. Mr. Basnight brought the food to the agency with no hesitation. He was most helpful to both my client and the agency. His thoughtfulness will not be forgotten.

Mr. Basnight has been an excellent resource for my senior families in the City of Portsmouth, VA. He has provided quick and quality service to all my families I have referred him to. Some of our families were on waiting list and we had no other way of assistance and once again just a simple call to Mr. Basnight and the needs of that family had been met.

Mr. Basnight has not only been referred to the seniors of Portsmouth but I have recommended him to various local churches for assistance, senior mid-rise and individuals who had called and didn’t meet the eligibility guide-lines for our program, but was just another job for Mr. Basnight.

I have families today who call and ask for Mr. Basnight to get help for their friends or family members. I have families who tell how Mr. Basnight is not only a professional but a very compassionate person and they could not have made it without his assistance.

I highly recommend Mr. Basnight and his program to anyone. He is an ultimate professional and has much to contribute to the community at large.

A grateful recipient

This ministry of food has been truly a blessing for me. The delivery, quantity, and most of all LOVE shown toward me and my family glorifies the Lord. “The Lord is my Shepherd, I shall not want” Psalm 23:1. The expansion is greatly needed and will help so many hungry people who do not know where their next meal will come from.
